The Day the Eagle
Cried
On September 11, 2001
Our American Eagle cried, For that was the day that
changed our world and many people died. It all began
as a normal day. Children walking and laughing along
their way. Men and women on their way to work as
usual Some stuck in traffic but nothing unusual..
Some people at their seats or climbing the
stairs Some in elevators to various floors and
unaware. All of a sudden at 8:45 A loud noise was
heard and panic began to rise.
A passenger jet
seemed to have missed the runway An accident or what
happened to change the day? The World trade center
tower 1 was struck by terrorists who had taken
control of a passenger jet, that hit so fast. The
people weren't aware this day could be their last.
As they evacuated one of the Towers. A few
minutes later they recognized the power. Run down the
stairs, elevators not working Some may have stayed
thinking no danger was lurking.
Then all of a
sudden their was another loud crash They knew then
they should get out real fast. During this all. the
Fireman, police and EMTS and the like. Were running
toward the buildings knowing it was there
fight.
Military Men, Women and civilians too were
running right into danger A lot of them didn't come
back as they sacrificed their lives to save a Stranger.
So on that day the Eagle Cried and everything
changed for the rest of our lives.
